Incheon City is launching the 'Incheoncraft Startup Growth' metaverse content that reflects the real economy system.
The city, which operates 'Incheoncraft'?an online virtual world of Incheon implemented in the metaverse game 'Minecraft'?announced on the 7th that it will run startup growth content reflecting real economy systems such as currency, real estate, trading, sales, and stocks until the end of this year.
This content allows users to acquire currency by clicking and experience various economic activities such as hiring employees, purchasing real estate and cars, acquiring companies, buying landmark buildings, and making donations. Additionally, users can enjoy an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) campaign within the content by utilizing missions like returning to farming and donation functions.
As part of promoting the content, the city has been producing and will sequentially release Incheoncraft X influencer collaboration video content with popular YouTubers such as Gongryong, Deokgae, Yuseong, and Kkumong over five weeks starting from the 5th. The first released episode, "From Beggar to Conglomerate," garnered over 110,000 views, 4,200 likes, and 223 comments within two days of release. Boosted by the video, the Incheoncraft server reached 20,000 users over two days on the 4th and 5th.
Earlier, in May, the city introduced the nation's first metaverse content applying Chat GPT (AI artificial intelligence) and held the '2023 Incheoncraft Family Festa,' where the whole family could experience and enjoy the diverse aspects of Incheon, attracting about 1.1 million users.
An official from Incheon City stated, "The new content reflecting real economy systems such as virtual currency and real estate will enhance the fun of Incheoncraft," and added, "We expect it to play a role in raising the city's recognition and favorability through the Incheon experience, so we ask for your great interest."
