Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) will hold the '2023 Gangbuk Youth Forum' at 3 p.m. on the 11th at Sungshin Women's University Unjeong Campus to discover policies needed by young people.
The '2023 Gangbuk Youth Forum' is an event prepared to share the interests of young people and reflect their opinions in policies, and is promoted as part of the 'Youth Participation Activation Support Project.'
The forum, held from 3 p.m. on the 11th at the small auditorium in Building C of Sungshin Women's University Unjeong Campus, will be divided into Part 1 and Part 2 events.
First, Part 1 is a talk concert where young participants and Mayor Lee Soon-hee of Gangbuk-gu communicate, hosted by Lala Planning, which was selected for the youth policy public contest project.
The talk concert will proceed in a format where young people ask questions about youth policies related to major social issues such as housing and jobs, and the mayor answers directly. The district office plans to review the opinions and suggestions delivered by the youth during the talk concert and reflect them in next year's youth policy roadmap.
In the following Part 2 event, Kim Hyun-yoo, CEO of Act to Ventures and former Executive Director (Head of Business Development Asia Pacific) at Google, will give a lecture titled 'Starting Your Career Wisely.'
The lecture will educate young people on ▲wise job preparation methods aimed at a career rather than just employment ▲planning and execution methods toward career goals ▲schedule management and asset management methods necessary for young adults entering society.
Additionally, at this Gangbuk Youth Forum, experience booths featuring stories and food from Gangbuk-gu youth such as ▲Collabo Cooperative ▲Seoul Physical Therapists Association Gangbuk Branch ▲Anmuseoun Company ▲Lala Planning ▲Local Entertainment will be operated, along with classical and old pop performances by young musicians.
The '2023 Gangbuk Youth Forum' is open to any young person aged 19 to 39 who resides or lives in the Gangbuk-gu area. Those wishing to participate can inquire at Lala Planning Co., Ltd. or the district office's Job Support Division.
Mayor Lee Soon-hee of Gangbuk-gu said, "This youth forum is an opportunity to directly listen to the sincere stories of young people and communicate with them to understand their welfare needs and discover the policies they require. Gangbuk-gu spares no support for the growth of young people, so I hope many will participate and share their valuable opinions."
