Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) and three other domestic universities have joined hands to develop and operate a joint artificial intelligence big data education program.
Yeungjin College, Hanyang Women's University, Busan Institute of Science and Technology, and Incheon Jaeneung College recently held a signing ceremony at Hanyang Women's University in Seoul to develop and operate the "University Consortium Big Data Joint Education Program (DS4U, Data Science for You)." The ceremony was attended by Lim Deok-seong, Head of the Computer Information Department (Professor) at Yeungjin College, as well as industry-academic cooperation directors and officials from the other three universities.

Through the DS4U agreement, the four universities will establish a network for sharing and cooperation, collaborate on developing and operating a joint online curriculum specialized in big data utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, form a practical operations committee and support system for the development and operation of the big data joint education program, mutually cooperate on matters necessary for curriculum operation, and actively cooperate on detailed and other necessary matters related to this agreement.
The courses developed through this agreement will be offered starting from the second semester of the 2024 academic year and will be conducted as online content education allowing for credit exchange.
The big data joint education program aims to strengthen students' capabilities by combining the expertise of the four universities with the goal of obtaining a data analysis semi-professional certification.
Lim Deok-seong, Head of the Computer Information Department at Yeungjin College, who is participating in the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Convergence University Project and the LINC 3.0 Project, stated, “Our department, which has been involved in the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Convergence University Project for the past three years, expects that cooperation with the three universities involved in this agreement will accelerate the development and operation of joint education programs for nurturing talent in the big data field based on the achievements and experiences of the innovation convergence project.” He added, “We have high expectations that the four universities will establish an educational system that fosters mutual growth among universities by creating various outcomes through exchange and cooperation.”
