An executive public official accused of sexually harassing a female police officer at a company dinner is expected to undergo police investigation.
According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency on the 3rd, a complaint was filed on the 2nd stating that Mr. A, an executive public official from Geochang-gun, sexually harassed a female police officer in her 20s, Ms. B, during a company dinner.
The complaint detailed that on the afternoon of the 31st of last month, at a restaurant in Geochang-gun, Mr. A grabbed Ms. B's hand and forcibly hugged her.
The company dinner was arranged by Geochang-gun after the Geochang-gun Hanmadang Festival to encourage the police officers who were in charge of festival security and traffic duties.
It is known that many people attended the dinner, including Mr. A and Ms. B, employees from related departments of the county office, and police officers.
The provincial police agency, which received the case from the Geochang Police Station, has secured closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from inside the restaurant where the dinner took place and plans to summon both individuals soon to investigate the details of the incident.
