Holding a Solo Concert Next Month
Singer Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park) announced on the 3rd that he will release his new song "Changed Man," which fully captures the 1980s vibe, on the 20th.
JYP Entertainment previously revealed concept photos of Park Jin-young's new digital single on their official SNS channels at 6 PM on the 2nd.
In the teaser, Park Jin-young stands against a black background, dressed in a silky brown jacket, making eye contact with the camera. He showcases a hairstyle with thick waves and long bangs, while placing both hands on the jacket collar, perfectly recreating the styling and pose popular in the 1980s.
"Changed Man" is Park Jin-young's first new song in about a year since the release of "Groove Back" (Feat. Gaeko) in November 2022. The song is a synth-pop genre filled with the 1980s sentiment that he loves most, and the teaser previously released drew attention by hinting at a collaboration with the "original dancing queen" Kim Wan-sun.
On the 1st, Park Jin-young appeared on tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" and introduced the song by saying, "It’s a story about how I, who used to be a troublemaker, have changed. My actions have changed, but inside, I still keep having thoughts I shouldn’t, so it’s a bit of a guilty story."
In the music video for the new song, Park Jin-young portrays a situation where he falls in love with Kim Wan-sun but breaks up due to a scandal, and now they meet again. He premiered part of the video on the show, heating up the comeback atmosphere.
Following the release of the new song on the 20th, Park Jin-young will hold a solo concert titled "80’s Night" on December 30 and 31. Having held year-end concerts every year, he plans to present a fresh stage along with the new song release this year as well.
