The U+ Hope Library is LG Uplus's social contribution activity that supports the latest ICT devices in schools for the blind, enabling visually impaired students to use the library without inconvenience. The Gwangju Segwang School U+ Hope Library is the 8th library following Busan School for the Blind, Daegu Gwangmyeong School, and others. The fund for the U+ Hope Library was raised from the proceeds of a sharing event held both online and offline in July, in which all LG Uplus employees participated.

LG Uplus donated ICT devices such as a smart podium equipped with necessary items for low-vision students and laptops that help low-vision students learn using large screens to Gwangju Segwang School. The device handover ceremony was held on the 30th of last month at Gwangju Segwang School. Attendees included Kim Kwang-jin, Deputy Mayor for Culture and Economy of Gwangju Metropolitan City, Lee Cheol-hoon, Executive Vice President and Head of External Strategy Group at LG Uplus, and Kim Sun-mi, Principal of Gwangju Segwang School.

Lee Cheol-hoon, Executive Vice President and Head of External Strategy Group at LG Uplus, said, “It is meaningful to carry out various activities for the visually impaired together with employees on Braille Day. As LG Uplus has been conducting social contribution activities for the visually impaired every year, we will continue to provide more support to places in need.”
