Seongbuk-gu Conducts 2023 Safe Korea Training

Strengthening Initial Response Capabilities for Autumn Wildfire Disaster Sites... Enhancing Organic Collaboration System with Related Agencies for Cooperative Response Framework

Seongbuk-gu Conducts 2023 Safe Korea Training

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) conducted a joint disaster response safety training with Seongbuk Fire Station, Seoul City, and related organizations at Bukhansan National Park on October 31 to strengthen initial disaster response capabilities and enhance disaster management system transition capabilities.

This training was carried out as a joint exercise with related organizations to strengthen disaster recovery capabilities necessary in the event of a forest fire and to ensure organic on-site response, due to the increased risk of forest fires caused by the dry autumn weather.

The drill assumed a forest fire occurrence in the Bukhansan area. Upon receiving the simulated forest fire situation report, Mayor Lee Seung-ro immediately dispatched to the site, established and operated an integrated command center for the forest fire site, and conducted fire suppression training. At the same time, in the disaster safety situation room on the 4th floor of the district office, a disaster safety countermeasures headquarters discussion training was conducted focusing on establishing an organic cooperation system with related organizations and mastering the disaster command system.

Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, “Seongbuk-gu will continue to build an organic cooperation system with related organizations through substantial disaster response training to carry out rapid and thorough initial responses in the event of a disaster and protect the residents.”
