- TWICE handwritten 'Bubble' reception
- Aiming to increase ARPU with an additional subscription fee of 700 KRW per month
DearU Inc., a global fan communication platform company (CEO An Jong-oh), announced today the launch of a new subscription product called “bubble FONT,” featuring handwritten fonts by each artist of the JYP Entertainment artist group TWICE.
The existing Bubble service allows subscribers who purchase individual artist rights through a monthly subscription of 4,500 KRW to receive the artist’s bubble messages in system font. The newly launched bubble FONT can only be purchased by subscribers who already subscribe to the respective artist’s Bubble, and by paying an additional monthly fee of 700 KRW, subscribers can receive bubble messages in the artist’s unique handwriting.
Bubble FONT is a product planned using AI-based font creation technology that replicates each member’s handwriting. It will convert not only Korean and English messages but also commonly used special characters and emoticons into the artist’s handwriting.
Receiving bubble messages in the artist’s handwriting, which features a chat room interface that feels like a one-on-one conversation, allows subscribers to experience something akin to receiving a fan letter reply from the artist. This experience is expected to increase satisfaction and intimacy with the service.
A DearU representative stated, “‘Bubble FONT’ is expected to serve as an opportunity to encourage Bubble subscription renewals and increase new user inflow, and with the additional monthly subscription fee, it will also drive ARPU growth.”
Meanwhile, TWICE’s Bubble service can be accessed by downloading ‘bubble for JYPnation,’ which provides Bubble services for existing JYP artists (2PM, Stray Kids, DAY6, TWICE, ITZY, NiziU, NMIXX, Xdinary Heroes, BOY STORY) from app markets.
Bubble FONT will start with the TWICE Bubble service and gradually expand the participating artist lineup.
