Through this agreement, both institutions agreed to mutually cooperate in jointly developing educational courses and materials for park golf enthusiasts, developing and participating in educational programs for training and utilizing manpower, and monitoring the use of equipment. They also pledged to work together to help park golf grow and develop as a sport industry that promotes health among middle-aged and elderly people.
The park golf management students who attended the ceremony toured the manufacturing process site where Brama park golf clubs, produced by Hana Industry Co., a Korean native brand gaining fame, are made. They also had the opportunity to practice park golf using various types of clubs produced by the company.
Founded in 1995, Hana Industry Co. (Brama Golf) is the only company in Korea that possesses a one-stop system for golf club manufacturing, including R&D, CNC precision machining, polishing, and fitting.
Kim Gil-seon, CEO of the company, said, “Our company has been consistently loved by park golfers as a Korean native brand with excellent technology and pride in the domestic club manufacturing field. Since park golf is mainly enjoyed by the elderly, if the performance is not perfectly equipped, it can lead to injuries. We want to contribute to a society where elderly people can live healthily and happily through good park golf clubs.”
Established in the 2022 academic year, Yeungjin College’s Park Golf Management Department is the first park golf-related department nationwide, currently enrolling about 90 students. The Gyeongbuk Chilgok Global Campus is equipped with a 9-hole practice course exclusively for students, promoting practical training and improvement of park golf skills.
