On the 1st, Dongduk Women's University stated that it is reviewing legal measures regarding Garoseyeon's recent mention of students as workers in entertainment establishments while covering the recent celebrity drug scandal.

Previously, on the 27th of last month, Garoseyeon claimed during a live broadcast, "The hostesses at entertainment establishments are all from Dongduk Women's University’s Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment, or from departments like Theater and Film."

In response, the Dongduk Women's University Student Council posted on its official SNS, "A certain YouTube channel uploaded a video containing statements that defamed the reputation of our university’s Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment," adding, "Considering the channel’s subscriber count and the video’s views, the video is expected to have a significant impact, so we have sent a request urging the university headquarters to take official action."

Following the Student Council’s request, Dongduk Women's University formed the 'YouTube False Information Countermeasures Committee,' consisting of the Student Council president group, the Emergency Response Committee chair of the College of Performing Arts, the dean of the College of Performing Arts, the head professor of the Broadcasting and Entertainment major, and the Public Relations Office, to take official measures.

The university stated, "We requested Garoseyeon to delete the video, but it has not been removed yet," and added, "Depending on future actions, we are also considering subsequent media adjustment requests and legal action for defamation."

Furthermore, the university said, "Currently, Garoseyeon has read the official letter sent by the school, but there has been no response," and "If there continues to be no reply, we plan to proceed with legal procedures."
