Boseong Botjae, Colored by November Cultural Events

Botjae Autumn Concert and Chrysanthemum Bonsai Exhibition Held

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold various cultural events throughout November at ‘Botjae,’ a complex cultural space where visitors can enjoy tea and art, including the ‘Autumn Concert at Botjae’ and the ‘Bobae-seong October Chrysanthemum Bonsai Exhibition.’


This month’s events were organized to provide cultural enjoyment opportunities to local residents and tourists and to expand the performance activities of local artists.

The ‘Autumn Concert at Botjae’ will be held every Saturday in November (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) from 1 PM for two hours at the Greendahyang Cafe on the 2nd floor of Botjae.


The concert will feature performances by acoustic guitarist Kang Hyun-soo, the fusion gugak group Boseong Sori Arts Troupe, the Boseong Sori Group Purumi Arts Troupe, and classical vocal singer Da Capo Aria, presenting a stage that encompasses popular songs, gugak (traditional Korean music), and classical music.


The ‘Bobae-seong October Chrysanthemum Bonsai Exhibition’ will be held at Botjae for seven days from November 7th to 13th.


This exhibition will showcase over 180 chrysanthemum bonsai works, expected to become a healing spot where beautiful bonsai and autumn music harmonize.


A Boseong-gun official said, “Through this autumn event, we expect to promote the region’s cultural resources not only to local residents but also to external tourists, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.” He added, “We hope everyone who visits Botjae will fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere and create happy memories.”


Meanwhile, Botjae is located on the ridge crossing Boseong-eup and Hoecheon-myeon in Boseong-gun. It is a place where people of all ages can experience sufficient recharging and rest, consisting of three floors with a total floor area of 49,430㎡.


The first floor houses the Boseong History and Culture Hall, where visitors can freely explore the long history and culture of Boseong-gun from the Three Kingdoms period to the present day. On the second floor, the Greendahyang Cafe and the specialty product store Green Market are located.
