Yeongyang-gun Watercolor Club Exhibits Works at 'Seonbawi Bonsai Wildflower Theme Park'

Exhibition Linking Regional Tourism Resources Expected to Attract Tourists

The Cultural Facilities Office of Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has decided to provide Seonbawi Bonsai Wildflower Theme Park as a space for various art exhibitions, and will hold an exhibition of watercolor club works from November 1 to November 14, 2023, for two weeks.

The exhibition will feature a total of 16 works, including one sponsored piece by artist Son Kyung-su and 15 watercolor works by club members painted under the guidance of the artist using his painting map.

The exhibition is displayed on the second-floor tourist rest area located within the theme park, offering visitors an enjoyable viewing experience. The Cultural Facilities Management Office expects that through this exhibition, tourists visiting the exhibition hall will be able to appreciate Yeongyang-gun’s excellent bonsai and wildflowers while enjoying the watercolor artworks, thereby enhancing visitor satisfaction.

Artist Son Kyung-su, who has been guiding the watercolor club, said, “I feel honored that the club members’ works, created during their spare time, are being exhibited at Seonbawi Tourist Site, one of Yeongyang-gun’s representative tourist destinations. I hope this will serve as an opportunity to encourage artists’ creative spirit by providing a good space in the theme park for various artworks to be displayed in the future.”

The Cultural Facilities Management Office plans to lend the Sanchon Life Museum’s special exhibition hall and the Seonbawi Wildflower Bonsai Exhibition Hall free of charge to club members active within the county who request to exhibit their works.
