Crown Haitai Confectionery Holds 200th Special Performance of 'Yeongjae Haneumhoe'

Crown Haitai Confectionery announced on the 1st that it will hold the '200th Young Hanum Association Special Performance' on the 5th at the Crown Haitai Hall in Namsan Gugakdang, Seoul.

The Young Hanum Association is the only regular traditional music performance by elementary school Hanum prodigies in Korea, celebrating its 200th event in eight years. The performers are elementary school students who have won awards with outstanding skills at Crown Haitai Confectionery’s annual events, 'Gather! Hanum Prodigies!' and the 'Hanum Dream Tree Contest.' So far, over 8,300 Hanum prodigies have taken the stage, presenting the beauty of traditional music to more than 50,000 audience members in total. Crown Haitai Confectionery has fully supported the budget required for discovering prodigies and their performances, encouraging the dreams of Hanum prodigies.

The 200th performance will be a special event where many seniors who have participated in previous performances will join the stage to unite with the young prodigies. The prodigies, who were elementary school students, have grown into middle and high school students and university students, and will support and celebrate their juniors with the skills they have honed. The performance will sequentially showcase various traditional music and dance forms including Jeongga, folk songs, haegeum, samulnori, as well as abakmu and taepyeongmu, representing the art of music, song, and dance (樂歌舞). Each performance will feature moving stages by seniors and juniors, promising a feast of diverse traditional music genres.

The performance can be viewed by reservation through the Young Hanum Association reservation page at Namsan Hanok Village and Naver Reservation. The 1 PM and 5 PM performances are open to the public, while the 3 PM performance is for supporters who encourage the dreams of Hanum prodigies; tickets can be purchased on the reservation website.
