Emart24, 'Monthly Communication Fee 980 Won USIM' Sold for One Month

Group Discount Event 'Sseuk Day' Launched

Convenience store Emart24 announced on the 1st that it will sell the 'SSG USIM,' which can be used for a monthly mobile communication fee of 980 KRW, throughout November.

The SSG USIM allows unlimited calls, texts, and data for 980 KRW per month for four months. After four months, it can be used at a price 30% cheaper than regular telecom providers. The plan includes 7GB of data, and speeds are throttled to 1Mbps per day once the limit is exceeded.

The SSG USIM is exclusively sold by Emart24 in partnership with the telecom platform 'Findirect,' operated by Stage Five. It is activated by purchasing it in-store and selecting the SSG Day plan. It uses KT’s network through leasing, ensuring the same call quality.

The SSG USIM is introduced by Emart24 to celebrate the large-scale discount event 'SSG Day' hosted by the Shinsegae Group. SSG Day, involving 20 major affiliates of the Shinsegae Group, will be held from the 13th to the 19th.

An Emart24 representative said, "We launched the SSG USIM to commemorate 'SSG Day,' where Shinsegae Group affiliates unite," adding, "We expect strong responses from the value-conscious MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) as this 'SSG USIM' can significantly reduce communication costs."
