A middle school student has been indicted for kidnapping, sexually assaulting, and robbing a woman during late-night hours while she was leaving work in Nonsan, Chungnam.
On the 31st, the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office Nonsan Branch announced that they had arrested and indicted 15-year-old middle school student A on charges of robbery and rape.
A is accused of approaching B (in her 40s), who was returning home around 2 a.m. on the 3rd in downtown Nonsan, offering to give her a ride on his motorcycle, then taking her to an elementary school yard where he sexually assaulted her.
Additionally, A is charged with threatening the victim by saying, "If you report this, I will harm your daughter," illegally filming the victim's body, and robbing her of cash before fleeing.
According to the prosecution's investigation, A prepared for the robbery targeting unspecified women to raise funds to purchase a motorcycle and followed B to commit the crime.
After conducting a digital forensic analysis of A's mobile phone, the prosecution found evidence that A meticulously planned the robbery by approaching women under the pretense of prostitution just before the crime, leading to additional charges of attempted robbery.
