Jeon Seung-il, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, announced on the 31st that he received the '1st Class Commendation Certificate' awarded by Lee Jae-myung, the party leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 19th.
This '1st Class Commendation Certificate' was awarded in recognition of his contributions to the development of the party on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Party.
Councilor Jeon said, "I believe this commendation is praise for my legislative activities aimed at helping local residents in their daily lives," and added, "I will continue to engage in legislative activities on the ground to improve the welfare of local residents and resolve long-standing issues."
He continued, "The joy of receiving this award was brief; rather, my heart feels heavier, and I will work even harder to enhance residents' welfare and convenience," sharing his thoughts on the award.
Meanwhile, Councilor Jeon has received a total of 11 awards, including the Presidential Commendation, two Excellence Awards for outstanding local government ordinances, and the Legislative Grand Prize.
