"See You Next Year in Wando, the Hub of the Marine Healing Industry"

The "35th Jeollanam-do Sports for All Festival" was held from the 24th to the 26th in the Suncheon city area.

Wando-gun, the host of the "36th Jeollanam-do Sports for All Festival," attended the closing ceremony of the 35th festival, where Kim Hyun-cheol, Deputy Governor of Wando, received the tournament flag from Yoo Hyun-ho, Deputy Mayor of Suncheon.

According to the county on the 31st, along with the handover of the tournament flag, a promotional video was screened to announce that the 36th festival will be held in Wando and to showcase Wando-gun's capabilities.

In his greeting, Kim Hyun-cheol, Deputy Governor of Wando, stated, "We will do our best to prepare so that the 36th Jeollanam-do Sports for All Festival, to be held in Wando-gun next year, can be a festival where the people of Jeonnam come together as one."

He added, "Since the marine healing industry, which Wando-gun is focusing on fostering, is closely related to sports rehabilitation, we will strive to improve athletes' performance and accelerate efforts to contribute to the development of sports in Jeonnam."

The county is monitoring the overall operation of the 35th festival to ensure the successful hosting of the 36th Jeollanam-do Sports for All Festival and is dedicating itself to preparations based on the successful hosting experience of the 62nd Jeollanam-do Sports Festival and the 31st Jeollanam-do Disabled Sports Festival held last May.

Meanwhile, Wando-gun participated in the 35th Jeollanam-do Sports for All Festival with 324 athletes competing in 22 events.

In particular, Choi Kyung-chul, president of the Wando-gun Sports Council, was the only one among the presidents of the 22 city and county sports councils to participate as an athlete in the tennis event, demonstrating the spirit of unity among sportspeople and achieving an excellent joint 3rd place.

Additionally, the county achieved commendable results in several events, including 3rd place in soft tennis and 3rd place in hapkido. In the singing contest among the 22 cities and counties, held for the first time this year, Lee Seung-hee, a coach representing Wando-gun Sports Council, received an encouragement award.
