At the first trial held on the 31st at the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Division 24 (Chief Judge Choi Kyung-seo) regarding Jeon's charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances), the prosecution asked the court to sentence him to 3 years in prison and impose a fine of 3.38 million won.

The prosecutor stated, "The defendant purchased a large amount of narcotics over a considerable period and caused social controversy by showing himself using drugs on a YouTube live broadcast to an unspecified number of people," adding, "We have taken into account his confession and that this is his first offense."

In his final statement, Jeon said, "I am very sorry for committing such a grave crime, and I reflect on my wrongdoing daily, feeling remorse and regret," and added, "I have come to understand how drugs cloud a person's judgment and how dangerous and frightening they are."

Jeon was indicted without detention last month on charges of using four types of drugs, including MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine, Ecstasy), LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), ketamine, and marijuana, from November last year to March this year in the United States.
