Gyeongnam Intellectual Property Festival, Changwon Sanggong Awards Ceremony
Scheduled Donation for Energy-Vulnerable Support
The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam will hold various events with local businesspeople and workers to celebrate 'Changwon Businesspeople's Day' on November 11.
On November 1 at 2 p.m., the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry will jointly host the 25th Changwon Economic Research Forum with the Bank of Korea Gyeongnam Headquarters. Under the theme "Gyeongnam Aerospace Industry, to the World! To Space!", this forum will feature presentations by Professor Heo Seon-young, a dedicated professor of Smart City Construction at Gyeongsang National University, on "Development Strategies for the Future Aerospace Industry in the Gyeongnam Region," and Research Fellow Ahn Hyung-joon from the Science and Technology Policy Institute on "Tasks for the Sustainable Growth of Korea's Aerospace Industry." Following the presentations, a panel discussion and open discussion will be led by Kim Jin-geun, senior research fellow at the Gyeongnam Research Institute.
On November 2 at 2 p.m., the '2023 Gyeongnam Intellectual Property Festival,' a knowledge property festival bringing together entrepreneurs, startup and technology experts, and students, will be held. Taking place at the Changwon Convention Center, the festival will include the Gyeongnam Startup IR Competition and the Gyeongnam Youth Startup Idea Commercialization Contest award ceremony, followed by an investment briefing session for the award-winning companies. Notably, senior local companies will participate as mentors and sign business agreements to support the stable settlement of startup companies during the festival.
Additionally, to mark Changwon Businesspeople's Day, community contribution activities will be conducted. On November 3 at 10 a.m., participants of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Future Management Academy will engage in a "Making Lunchboxes of Love" activity to support vulnerable groups. On November 8 at 12:20 p.m., a sponsorship fund will be delivered together with Doosan Enerbility to support energy-vulnerable groups.
On November 10 at 6 p.m., the '2023 Changwon Business Awards Ceremony' will be held to honor businesspeople who have contributed to the promotion and development of local commerce and industry. The ceremony, held at the Changwon Rivera Convention, will award winners in four categories?management, technology, labor, and community contribution?divided into mid-sized/large enterprises and small and medium enterprises.
Other scheduled events include a business agreement on November 6 to support member companies' achievement of RE100, the 267th Gyeongnam Economic Forum on November 9, and a Corporate Hall of Fame dedication ceremony with Changwon City on November 15.
Meanwhile, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry designated November 11 as 'Changwon Businesspeople's Day' at the 2021 general assembly, commemorating the founding anniversary of the newly established chamber formed by the merger of the Changwon, Masan, and Jinhae Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 2011.
