On the 31st at 2 PM, Ulsan City will hold the 'Ulsan Sustainable Development Policy Forum' at the Ulsan Family Culture Center auditorium, attended by over 100 experts, citizens, and public officials.
The forum, organized by the Ulsan Sustainable Development Council (Chairman Shin Mankyun), will be conducted through keynote presentations and discussions under the theme of 'Carbon Neutrality and Biodiversity.'
In the keynote presentations, Senior Research Fellow Chu Jangmin of the Korea Environment Institute will present on 'Current Status and Challenges of Carbon Neutrality Policy,' and Senior Research Fellow Lee Hyunwoo will present on the 'Biodiversity Policy Implementation System.'
The discussion will be chaired by Shin Mankyun, Chairman of the Ulsan Sustainable Development Council, with participants including Heo Jongbae, Director of the Busan Carbon Neutral Support Center, Kwon Oseong, Senior Researcher at the Ulsan Institute, and Yoon Seok, Officer of the Ulsan City Environmental Policy Division.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “Biodiversity maintains the Earth's ecosystem through the interaction of various species,” and added, “We hope this will lead to efforts by all citizens to recognize and preserve the value of biodiversity.”
