Claiming to Complete Specialist Training at 19
Advised to Make Payment First When Asked for Credentials

Jeon Cheong-jo (27), who was known as the remarriage partner of former national fencing representative Nam Hyun-hee, has been accused of attempting to commit fraud against parents of students at Nam's fencing academy.

According to a report by MBN on the 30th, there is evidence that Jeon, who is under suspicion of fraud, also approached parents at the fencing academy. He allegedly claimed to run a sports psychology counseling club for children of the top 1% elite and assessed the parents' financial status.

During this process, Jeon reportedly introduced himself as having "graduated from university at 16 and completed psychiatric specialist training at 19." When a parent requested related credentials, he is said to have advised them to make a payment first.

A friend of one parent said, "Jeon said, 'I (Jeon Cheong-jo) am the one choosing you (the parent), not the other way around,' and added, 'If you deposit a membership fee of 30 million won, I will open up about myself.'

The exact extent of the parents' damages is not yet known. The Seoul Songpa Police Station, which is investigating two filed complaints against Jeon, is also looking into whether there are other fraud allegations.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Channel A on the same day, Jeon claimed that Nam had known since February that he was impersonating a third-generation chaebol. He also said that most of the financial gains from the investment fraud were handed over to Nam's side.

Regarding the gender controversy, he stated, "Legally, I am female," and added, "I have not undergone sex reassignment surgery but am in the process of becoming male. I have even had breast surgery."
