High-Rise Development in the Daerim Samgeori Area of Dongjak-gu Gains Momentum

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 27th that the area around Daerim Samgeori Station (588-7, Sindaebang-dong) has been selected as a target site for Seoul's station area revitalization project.

Daerim Samgeori Station (planned) is an underground station on the Sinansan Line scheduled for completion by the end of 2024, and the area has had high development demand centered around the station area.

Accordingly, the district proactively proposed a suitable station area revitalization development method to local residents and applied to Seoul City for the selection of the project site.

With this selection, a complex hub strengthening urban functions will be created around Daerim Samgeori Station through commercial, business, and public mixed-use development. Additionally, by organically connecting Siheung-daero and Sindaebang Station on Line 2, it is expected to enhance the area's value as a double station area.

The district plans to develop a project plan (draft) together with local residents, including zoning upgrades for the station area revitalization project site and the construction of ultra-high-rise residential-commercial complex buildings over 30 floors.

Furthermore, the long-awaited project by local residents to create additional entrances for the Sinansan Line is also expected to gain momentum alongside this station area revitalization project.

Mayor Park Il-ha stated, “Since the 8th elected administration, a total of five sites, including the Daerim Samgeori area, have been selected as station area revitalization project sites. As Dongjak-gu-style urban development enters full swing, we will continue to transform the map of Dongjak-gu for the city of highest value.”
