Jeon Cheong-jo, who was once known as the remarriage partner of former national fencing representative Nam Hyun-hee and has been embroiled in fraud allegations, spoke out directly about various controversies. He claimed that Nam Hyun-hee had known since February that he was not a third-generation chaebol and that it was Nam Hyun-hee who suggested the breast removal surgery.

On the 30th, Jeon Cheong-jo responded to claims of being a 'third-generation chaebol' and investment fraud allegations in an interview with Channel A. He first said, "I was raised by my grandmother and mother. To my recollection, my father was not around since I was about seven years old," acknowledging that he is not an illegitimate child of a famous group. When asked if he gained any financial benefits from the investment fraud accusations, he admitted, "Yes, I did," but did not disclose specific amounts.

Jeon claimed that most of the investment funds obtained through fraud were given to Nam Hyun-hee. He said, "I paid off Nam Hyun-hee's loans, bought her a car, gave pocket money to Nam Hyun-hee's daughter, gave monthly allowances to Nam Hyun-hee's mother, and paid for Nam Hyun-hee's luxury goods and credit card bills."

He went on to claim, "At first, Nam Hyun-hee thought I was an illegitimate child of Paradise Group, but since February this year, she has known that I am not a chaebol and continued to see me." He said that he had hired someone to act as a reporter while pretending to be a third-generation chaebol, but Nam Hyun-hee found out and he confessed everything. Jeon claimed that Nam Hyun-hee continued the relationship even after knowing the truth.

Regarding his gender, he stated, "I am legally female at present. I have not undergone sex reassignment surgery but am in the process of becoming male." He explained, "I have been receiving hormone injections and have had breast removal surgery." He also claimed, "Nam Hyun-hee suggested the sex reassignment surgery." He said, "(Nam Hyun-hee) kept telling me, 'You will be found out as a woman because of your breasts,'" and added, "Because I truly loved her, I made the big decision to undergo the surgery."

He also denied Nam Hyun-hee's claim that he had two resident registration cards. He said, "I have only one resident registration card. I have my mother's resident registration card and my younger brother's, but I have never forged any."

Regarding the pregnancy test controversy, he stated that he only handed over a test bought by a bodyguard and never gave a fake test. Jeon explained, "The test actually showed two lines, and when I went to the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, they said I was of advanced maternal age and it seemed like a miscarriage had occurred." When asked, "Isn't that physically impossible?" he replied, "I don't understand it either. But why is that important? I loved Nam Hyun-hee, and it didn't matter whose child it was."

He said, "After the truth came out, I even considered extreme measures," and added, "I have no intention of avoiding police investigation and will sincerely cooperate. I will accept the consequences."

Meanwhile, Nam Hyun-hee has claimed through several interviews that she was also a victim deceived by Jeon Cheong-jo, revealing that she only found out about Jeon's identity impersonation after an interview with a magazine was published on the 23rd. Nam plans to file a police complaint against Jeon on the 31st for fraud and other charges and said she will submit Jeon's mobile phone and laptop in her possession to the police.
