Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Signs Relay Agreement to Attract Vietnamese International Students

Gyeongnam Information University is expanding its base for attracting international students through a series of partnership agreements with local universities and educational institutions such as study abroad agencies in Vietnam.


From the 25th to the 28th, President Kim Dae-sik of Gyeongnam Information University visited Hanoi, Vietnam, and signed agreements with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, followed by Hanoi College For Electro-Mechanics, and MAP EDUCATION, the largest study abroad agency in Vietnam.


Hanoi College For Electro-Mechanics has about 7,000 students enrolled and operates three campuses, making it a large-scale university.


According to the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate in various areas including ▲ short- and mid-term student training ▲ study abroad programs between the two universities ▲ development of joint degree programs ▲ cooperation in joint curriculum development. Through this, students from Hanoi College For Electro-Mechanics are expected to come to Gyeongnam Information University for study in Korea starting in 2024.


Additionally, they visited MAP EDUCATION, the largest study abroad agency in Vietnam, to hold recruitment promotion briefings targeting local students and signed an agreement to attract international students.

President Kim Dae-sik of Gyeongnam Information University stated, “Through the ‘Settlement-type International Student’ training program promoted by Gyeongnam Information University, we will be well prepared to take full responsibility for students’ Korean language education, degree acquisition, and employment and settlement in Korea.”


President Kim returned on the 28th with 18 international students directly selected in Vietnam.
