A man in his 30s dropped a weapon while drinking at a pub
The pub owner reported it, leading to a search and arrest on the spot

A man in his 30s carrying a weapon was arrested by police near Seohyeon Station in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, where a stabbing incident had occurred.

The Bundang Police Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 30th that Mr. A (38) was booked on charges of violating the Minor Offenses Act (carrying a weapon).

It was investigated that Mr. A dropped the weapon he was carrying while drinking at a pub near Seohyeon Station at around 8:22 p.m. the previous night, picked it up again, and then left the pub.

The pub owner who witnessed this reported it to the police, and officers who arrived at the scene searched the area and arrested Mr. A at 8:50 p.m.

During police questioning, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I carried it for style because it was Halloween."

A police official said, "Mr. A refused to disclose his personal information, so despite it being a minor offense, he was arrested on the spot. After investigation, he was released on bail." The police plan to investigate whether the weapon Mr. A carried requires a permit.
