Online-Exclusive Pepero Collaboration Product Unveiled
Lotte Wellfood (formerly Lotte Confectionery) announced on the 30th that it has launched various concept collaboration Pepero products available exclusively online ahead of Pepero Day on November 11. Different character-themed products and goods featuring ‘Pepero Friends,’ ‘Jjanggu,’ ‘Digimon,’ ‘Sanrio,’ and ‘Chunsik-i’ were prepared for each online sales channel.
On the Coupang channel, the ‘Pepero Advent Calendar’ is sold exclusively. The Pepero Advent Calendar is a product that allows consumers to enjoy the fun of eating one Pepero each day while waiting for Pepero Day. It includes six types of Pepero products such as Original Pepero, Almond Pepero, and Choco Field Pepero.
In collaboration with Sanrio Korea, the ‘Sanrio Characters X Pepero’ product, which features Sanrio characters like My Melody and Kuromi on the front of the package, is available at Lotte Wellfood Sweet Mall and Naver Smart Store. Additionally, this product includes a Sanrio Characters hand mirror and stickers.
The popular animation ‘Jjanggu-neun Motmallyeo’ (Crayon Shin-chan) collaboration product ‘Jjanggu X Pepero’ features colorful illustrations of Jjanggu and surrounding characters from the comic. It can be purchased through Shinsegae Universe online channels such as E-Mart and Gmarket. The planned product containing three random Jjanggu keyrings is available on SSG.com as well as offline at E-Mart and E-Mart Everyday stores.
The ‘Chunsik-i X Pepero’ product, which applies the image of Chunsik-i, a popular Kakao Friends character, on the package, is only available for purchase through KakaoTalk’s Gift feature. An event will also be held to give Chunsik-i stickers and hand towels as gifts with product purchases.
Lotte Wellfood also released ‘Pepero Friends X Pepero,’ utilizing Pepero Friends, characters created to be familiar to consumers and shaped like Pepero sticks. Pepero Friends consists of about six characters with various personalities, such as ‘Ppero,’ shaped like ‘Choco Pepero,’ and ‘Mondy,’ representing ‘Almond Pepero.’ These are available on major online channels, and live commerce broadcasts offering reasonable sets and prices will be held on Naver, Kakao, Gmarket, and others ahead of Pepero Day.
