AI Seminar Conducted for Partner Company CEOs
Samsung Electronics has organized a seminar focused on artificial intelligence (AI), a technology gaining attention in the industry, to promote mutual growth with its semiconductor (DS Division) partners. The company plans to form a semiconductor one-team with its partners to prepare together for the AI era.
On the 26th, Samsung Electronics held an 'AI Seminar' by inviting CEOs of DS Division partner companies at the Samsung Electronics Win-Win Cooperation Academy in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The seminar was designed to discuss AI innovation cases and utilization methods amid the demand for changes in corporate sites driven by AI technology based on deep learning.
Professor Yoon Sung-ro of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University shared the topic 'AI Changing the World, Is It Really Necessary?' with the attending partner company representatives. The session provided insights into AI fields applicable in businesses and also considered potential negative effects such as information leakage.

Yoon Sung-ho, CEO of Makinarx, an AI industry company, continued the discussion under the theme 'AI Revolution, How to Utilize It?'. He shared various manufacturing innovation cases through AI, including examples of AI applications in the semiconductor industry.
A total of over 60 people, including CEOs from 58 Samsung Electronics semiconductor partner companies, attended the seminar. Kim Young-gu, CEO of Symtek, who attended the event, said, "Many companies had concerns about applying AI in the semiconductor industry field," adding, "This seminar provided an opportunity to gain valuable insights."
Samsung Electronics newly established the AI seminar this year in addition to the semiconductor tech seminars and sustainable management seminars for partners, which were previously held twice a year. Reflecting the needs of partners in a situation where AI technology is becoming a necessity rather than a choice for companies, the new seminar was introduced.
Samsung Electronics plans to provide a platform to share technology trends with partners through the operation of three types of partner seminars going forward. A Samsung Electronics representative stated, "We will continue to operate seminars that focus on topics needed by our partners to achieve mutual growth."
