Rumor Mentioned During the National Agricultural Control Scandal
Accountant Kim Kyung-ryul: "A Fact Guaranteed by a Five-Term Lawmaker"
Jung Yura, the daughter of Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil), who was involved in the national corruption scandal, criticized Democratic Party lawmaker Ahn Min-seok using Jeon Cheong-jo's 'I am 신뢰예요' meme (internet slang).
On the 28th, Jung posted on her SNS, "I have 300 trillion won, anyone who wants to marry me. If a woman bears my child, I will pass down hundreds of paper companies in Germany," adding that unlike Jeon Cheong-jo, the 'New York equestrian athlete,' she was a 'real equestrian athlete' who won a gold medal at the Asian Games.
This was a parody of Jeon Cheong-jo's fraudulent act, who claimed to have a bank balance of 51 trillion won, was a third-generation equestrian athlete of the Paradise Group, and said she would pass the group to the child of former national fencing representative Nam Hyun-hee.
Jung wrote, "Actually, I am a unicorn illegitimate child," and "I am 진지에요." This also mimicked Jeon Cheong-jo's English-style speech used during her fraudulent acts, sarcastically referring to herself as the 'illegitimate child of Paradise Group,' a lie Jeon spread about herself.
In 2016, during the height of the national corruption scandal, there were suspicions that Jung was not the daughter of Choi Seo-won but an illegitimate child between former President Park Geun-hye and Choi Tae-min.
Jung's post is interpreted as targeting lawmaker Ahn Min-seok, who previously raised the rumor of Choi Soon-sil's 300 trillion won fortune and mentioned German paper companies.
Upon seeing this post, accountant Kim Kyung-ryul responded to Jung's post, saying, "(Unlike Jeon Cheong-jo's lies) this is on a different level, as a five-term opposition lawmaker and major media outlets all guarantee it," and added, "It's an undeniable fact."
The five-term opposition lawmaker mentioned by accountant Kim is presumed to be Ahn Min-seok of the Democratic Party.
The rumor of Choi Seo-won's family fortune amounting to 300 trillion won was raised by Ahn during an interview with JTBC on July 26, 2017, when asked, "How much do you estimate Choi Soon-sil's hidden assets to be?"
At that time, Ahn replied, "It's hard to say definitively, but according to the Fraser report, the amount of Park Chung-hee's ruling funds at the time of the investigation was 8.9 trillion won in then-money, which is over 300 trillion won in today's money," adding, "From that money, we can estimate the starting point of Choi Soon-sil's family fortune."
Later, Choi Seo-won filed a defamation lawsuit against Ahn in September 2019, claiming that Ahn's statement that after former President Park's death, the fortune flowed to the Choi Tae-min family and contributed to Choi Soon-sil's wealth formation was false.
In response, Ahn denied the allegations, stating that he "never mentioned" the 300 trillion won fortune of Choi Soon-sil and only raised suspicions.
