LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Ioniq 6 Host 2-Day Carbon Zero Camping Trip

28-29th at Ulmi Forest Campground, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi
"To Make the Public Familiar with Electric Vehicle Batteries"

LG Energy Solution announced on the 29th that it held a 'Dramatic Camping' event in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company, where participants experienced 'Carbon Zero (0)' using electric vehicles over a 1-night, 2-day period.

The 'Dramatic Camping' event, held from the 28th to 29th at Ulmi Forest Camping Site in Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, was a joint campaign where participants practiced and experienced carbon zero through electric vehicle camping, symbolizing how positive and negative poles meet to become zero.

For this event, Hyundai's representative electric vehicle model, the Ioniq 6, equipped with LG Energy Solution's high-performance battery, was utilized. A total of 20 teams, about 60 people, were selected through a lottery to participate. Both companies designed the program to fully utilize electric vehicles from the start to the end of the event in line with the carbon zero theme.

First, participants drove the Ioniq 6 themselves to the event site. At the main camping site, various camping programs were prepared, including a photo zone exhibiting electric vehicles, batteries, and Standbyme GO, as well as a snack bar, cafe, and nighttime outdoor cinema.

All programs were designed to allow participants to experience carbon zero camping by utilizing the V2L (Vehicle to Load) function. V2L is a technology that supplies electric power from the electric vehicle battery to external devices.

Additionally, LG Energy Solution battery experts held a battery class, teaching basic battery knowledge, the importance of battery management, and management methods.

One participant said, "Actually experiencing everything from test driving to camping using an electric vehicle allowed me to personally feel why electric vehicles are called eco-friendly cars," adding, "I have greater expectations that carbon zero can be realized as electric vehicles become more common in daily life."

An LG Energy Solution official stated, "This event was planned so that end customers of battery products, electric vehicle users, could experience the customer value of carbon zero through batteries," and added, "We will carry out various marketing activities to make the public more familiar with electric vehicle batteries."
