Korean Women's Golf Wins World Amateur Team Championship

Seogyorim, Kim Minsol, and Lee Hyoseong '22 Under Par Collaboration'
5th Overall Title in 7 Years Since 2016
Taiwan Runner-up, Seogyorim Strong 3rd Place in Individual Competition

Korean women's golf reached the top at the 2023 World Amateur Team Championship.

South Korea, represented by Seo Gyolim, Kim Minsol, and Lee Hyosong, won the team event held on the 28th (local time) at the National Course (par 72) of Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates with a score of 22 under par 554. This marks their fifth overall victory and fourth win in the last seven tournaments since 2016. Taiwan finished second (18 under par 558), and Spain took third place (17 under par 559).


The tournament is hosted biennially by the International Golf Federation (IGF). Teams of two or three players compete, with the best two scores from each round combined to determine the rankings. Seo Gyolim performed well individually, finishing third (10 under par 278). Kim Minsol and Lee Hyosong tied for 13th place (6 under par 282). Seo Gyolim exclaimed, "It is an honor, and we showed great teamwork over the four days."
