On the 31st, Seongbuk-gu Resident Autonomy Expo, Presentation of Outstanding Resident Autonomy Cases and Exhibition, 2023 '2nd Seongbuk-gu Resident Autonomy Performance Sharing Meeting' Held
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will hold the "2nd Seongbuk-gu Resident Autonomy Performance Sharing Meeting" at the district office's Baram Yard on the 31st.
Under the slogan "Together! Happily! Seongbuk's Resident Autonomy!", the activities of resident autonomy committees from each neighborhood that have led changes in the community will be shared. It aims to create a festival of resident communication and harmony where excellent cases can be benchmarked and growth can be achieved together.
The "2nd Seongbuk-gu Resident Autonomy Performance Sharing Meeting" is an event where resident autonomy committees and residents come together, featuring a "Resident Autonomy Expo" and presentations of excellent resident autonomy cases from 20 neighborhoods in Seongbuk-gu. Additionally, for the first time among Seoul's 25 autonomous districts, a "Resident Autonomy Excellent Cases Exhibition" will be held to promote differentiated achievements in resident autonomy activities.
The "Resident Autonomy Expo" will offer a variety of exhibitions and programs prepared by each neighborhood's resident autonomy committee, including VR safety experiences, zero-waste experiences for environmental protection, and a pet etiquette campaign, providing abundant attractions and enjoyable activities for more experiential opportunities.
On this day, resident autonomy committees from 20 neighborhoods in Seongbuk-gu will present their outstanding achievements in resident autonomy activities. They will encourage each other's passion and efforts by sharing cases. They will not hesitate to praise each other's strengths and aim to create opportunities for growth of resident autonomy committees through benchmarking. Also, under the title "Together in Resident Autonomy, Our Stories That Illuminate Seongbuk," excellent resident autonomy cases presented by each neighborhood's committee will be exhibited on the first floor of the district office.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "The resident autonomy committees, which started as a pilot project in 2018, are now established in all 20 neighborhoods of our district and are actively engaged in activities," adding, "I hope that by sharing and benchmarking each other's excellent cases at the Resident Autonomy Performance Sharing Meeting, our resident autonomy committees will grow further and that Seongbuk-style resident autonomy will become a model leading basic local governments nationwide."
