Choi Young-sook "Actively Discover Support Policies"
Gyeongbuk Province is holding the "2023 Gyeongsangbuk-do Small Business Owners Conference" for 1 night and 2 days from the 27th to the 28th at Gumi Geumosan Hotel to comfort small business owners in the province who are exhausted from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, high inflation, and high interest rates, and to promote the growth of small business owners who are the main agents of the local economy.
Hosted by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Small Business Owners Association, this event includes programs to strengthen the capabilities of small business owners, such as presentations of successful cases by outstanding small business owners from cities and counties (11 cases), discussions on cooperation plans for mutual development between Naver and small business owners, and sharing of startup success strategies by broadcaster Kim Hak-rae.
In addition, certificates of commendation were awarded to 23 outstanding small business owners who contributed to strengthening the competitiveness of small business owners and revitalizing the local economy, expressing gratitude for their achievements.
Gyeongbuk Province is implementing support policies for small business owners, including the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid Association (1 billion KRW), Saebaram Change-up (4.3 billion KRW), operation of a public delivery app (2 billion KRW), and support for good price stores (900 million KRW).
In particular, after being selected as an excellent institution for the "Local Price Stabilization Management Performance" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the province used a special grant of 500 million KRW to stabilize the management of small business owners in the era of high inflation by supporting small business owners' fees for using the public delivery app (250 million KRW) and providing discount coupons for the public delivery app in flood-affected areas (100 million KRW).
Choi Young-sook, Director of the Economic and Industrial Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, said, "I express my gratitude to the small business owners who have worked hard for the development of the local economy despite the difficult economic situation and harsh environment," adding, "We will actively discover support policies for small business owners and do our best to make Gyeongbuk Province a strong support for 370,000 small business owners."
