Arthur is a proprietary AI interpreter based on GPT-4, specialized for Jeongyookgak and Chorokmaeul. It is defined as a bundle of all services, technologies, and functions where artificial intelligence is utilized within the business domains of the two companies.
Arthur uses GPT-4 through Azure OpenAI. It preprocesses information related to customer inquiries or employee requests, autonomously determines what tasks are needed, generates appropriate prompts, sends them to GPT-4, receives the results, and then post-processes the information to provide it, acting as a kind of commentator or interpreter.
The name Arthur is derived from Arthur C. Clarke, who formulated the three laws of science, including the famous statement that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Currently, Arthur is responsible for data preprocessing to help the GPT-4-powered search engine in the Chorokmaeul mobile app find products more effectively. It has also discovered a role as an assistant to enrich the experience of writing product reviews and plans to launch this feature next month.
Park Joon-tae, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Jeongyookgak and Chorokmaeul, said, "We are now in the era of universal artificial intelligence made accessible to everyone by Microsoft," adding, "Companies that quickly and effectively utilize this will experience innovation that brings the future into reality."
