Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) will hold the "11th Daegaya Royal Tomb Road Walking Competition" at 9 a.m. on November 4th at the Daegaya Cultural Nuri Outdoor Performance Hall in Daegaya-eup, Goryeong-gun.
Marking its 11th year, this event is organized by Maeil Shinmun and is especially meaningful this year as it celebrates the inscription of the "Goryeong Jisandong Tumuli," part of the Gaya Tumuli Cluster, as a UNESCO World Heritage site in September.
The detailed program includes an opening ceremony, the walking competition, and a singer’s congratulatory performance. The walking competition course starts from the Daegaya Cultural Nuri Outdoor Performance Hall, passes through the Daegaya History Theme Tourist Site, circles the UNESCO World Heritage Jisandong Tumuli, and descends via the Jusan hiking trail, covering a total distance of 6 km over 90 minutes.
Invited singers include dance trot singer Park Joo-hee, imitation singer Hyun Chil, and comedian-singer Jo Won-seok, who will enrich the Daegaya Royal Tomb Road Walking Competition with their performances.
