At the executive committee meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Lee said, "Last Sunday, the Green Party's National Committee decided to pursue an electoral alliance party with the Justice Party."

Lee stated, "Until now, the leadership of the Justice Party and the Green Party have deeply agreed that joint practical efforts by the two parties are necessary to address the climate crisis and inequality issues, and that the 22nd National Assembly must open the horizon of climate politics," adding, "The experiment of an alliance party between the Justice Party and the Green Party will continue after the general election as a joint cooperation body within the parliament and as a high-level solidarity and alliance between the two parties."

She continued, "We will take this as the first starting point to politically gather all forces wishing for climate politics beyond a simple merger of the Justice Party and the Green Party," and emphasized, "We will elevate the New Party Promotion Group, which acted as the innovation re-founding promotion organization, to the New Party Promotion Committee, and through broader contact not only with the green camp but also with other forces working together on the climate crisis, inequality, and regional extinction issues that the Justice Party aims to solve, the Justice Party will become a catalyst in addressing these urgent challenges that Korean politics has so far neglected."

On the same day, Lee also made remarks urging the enactment of a special law to mark the first anniversary of the Itaewon disaster on the 29th.

She criticized, "Nothing has changed in the past year," and said, "Yongsan District and Seoul City, who should bear primary responsibility, have shut their eyes and ears, only arguing over absurd matters such as whether to maintain or dismantle the memorial altar, and even within the police, recent evidence of further evidence destruction has been revealed."

Lee stated, "If this government’s irresponsibility, which thinks that simply removing the memorial space will make the incident disappear, does not end, the same thing will inevitably repeat itself," and added, "The first step to ending irresponsibility is to establish two principles: fact-finding and punishment of those responsible." She emphasized, "The prompt enactment of the 10·29 Itaewon Disaster Fact-Finding Special Act, which was designated as a fast-track bill on June 30, cannot be delayed any longer."
