Award Ceremony for Contributions to the Development of the Machinery Industry Sector

The Korea Machinery Industry Promotion Association (Chairman Jo Young-chul) announced that the 'Awards Ceremony for Contributions to the Development of the Machinery, Robot, and Aerospace Industries (Machinery Sector),' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Promotion Association and the Korea Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association, was held on the 25th.
At this awards ceremony, 48 individuals and 7 companies who contributed to the development of the machinery industry were honored. The awards for contributions to the development of the machinery, robot, and aerospace industries have been held since 1984 to boost the morale of the machinery industry, which has been dedicated to securing world-class technology in key capital goods sectors with high import dependency.
The Silver Tower Industrial Medal was awarded to Kim Seong-muk, CEO of Sungil Machinery, and Kim Young-seok, CEO of Shinjin M-Tech. CEO Kim Seong-muk contributed to the development of the machinery industry by domesticating the country's first precision shaft coupling. CEO Kim Young-seok succeeded in developing and domesticating assembly equipment in the secondary battery sector, contributing to the advancement of the automation equipment industry, which led to sales growth, increased exports, job creation, and the development of upstream and downstream industries.
Cho Young-chul, Chairman of the Machinery and Equipment Industry Promotion Association, is delivering a greeting at the 'Mechanical Robot Aviation Industry Development Merit Award Ceremony (Mechanical Field)'.
The Industrial Medal was awarded to three recipients: Park Beom-yeol, CEO of Korea R&D, who contributed to expanding new markets through ship engine process automation and eco-friendly engine development; Seo Hong-seok, CEO of Samcheonri Machinery, who contributed to export growth by domesticating the previously fully imported workholding product line; and Lee Young-il, Vice President of Shinsung ENG, who contributed to industrial development through the development and production of new construction equipment HPL.
The Presidential Citation was awarded to six individuals including Kang Shin-gi, CEO of Wooyang ENG, and one company, Shinjin Fastener Industry. The Prime Minister's Citation was awarded to eight individuals including Kwon Young-woo, President of Donghwa New Tech, and one company in the corporate sector, D&Solutions.
