Dong-A University Selects 'Proud Dong-A Members' to Commemorate 77th Anniversary of Founding

Shin Han-chun, Chairman of the Busan Freight Truck Transportation Business Association, and Han Ho-jong, Chairman of Yukaro Automobile, were selected as recipients of the ‘Proud Dong-A Alumni Award’ in celebration of Dong-A University’s 77th anniversary.

The award ceremony will be held during the anniversary ceremony at Daou Hall on the Bumin Campus on the 31st at 10:30 AM.

Chairman Shin Han-chun graduated from Dong-A University’s Department of Business Administration and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Graduate School of Business as well as a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business Administration.

He serves as CEO of Geumjeong Hwaun and Shinheung Junggi, Chairman of Ulsan Logistics Terminal, and Chairman of the Busan Branch of the Korea Freedom Federation. He has also served as Chairman of the Busan Country Club and President of the National Freight Truck Transportation Business Federation.

Since May 2006, he has been serving as Chairman of the Busan Freight Truck Transportation Business Association, contributing to the development of the local community and enhancing the prestige of his alma mater. He was awarded the Stone Tower Industrial Medal in 2006, the Presidential Citation in 2010, and the Order of Civil Merit, Pomegranate Medal in 2018.

Han Ho-jong, class of ’83 from Dong-A University’s Sericulture Department, received his MBA from the Graduate School of Business Administration last August. Starting as a car salesman, he now operates Yukaro Automobile, the official dealer for Audi and Volkswagen in Busan and Gyeongnam, and is regarded as a role model for business leaders.

He actively leads social service activities such as regular sponsorship of local children’s facilities, has joined the ‘Community Chest of Korea’s Sharing Prestigious Companies,’ and received the Honorary Merit Award as a member of the Korean Red Cross, among various other social contribution efforts.

He also served as president of the MBA alumni association and is active as chairman of D-Chamber, a high-value relay donor group of the College of Business Administration.
