CU Box Participates in Senior Informatization Project Hosted by Korea Senior Citizens Association... "Entering the Senior Industry"

CUBox announced on the 23rd that it has signed a business partnership agreement with the "Central Association of the Korea Senior Citizens Association" and "Korea Senior Citizens Association Informatization Project Corporation" (both as lead organizations) and the "Korea Senior Citizens Association Senior Informatization Project Joint Business" to achieve the business objectives and outcomes.

This agreement was signed among the lead organizations and three partner companies including CUBox (Block Odyssey, EToday PNC). The partners will be responsible for building and operating systems for digital informatization projects promoted by the lead organizations, such as the Smart Senior Centers project aimed at improving the quality of life for 3 million members of the Korea Senior Citizens Association and enhancing approximately 68,000 senior centers nationwide.

CUBox will provide AI facial recognition technology for member identification and login, AI video recognition-based infrastructure for non-face-to-face medical services, AI facial recognition-based payment and other additional services, as well as related AI facial and video recognition technologies and services. The company plans to support the use of various digital and mobile services by the 3 million members of the Korea Senior Citizens Association more conveniently and securely. Additionally, CUBox will play a gateway role in introducing various new services to improve members’ welfare, contributing to the increase in Korea Senior Citizens Association membership and the expansion of services for members.

A CUBox representative stated, “Despite Korea entering a super-aged society, services that force the use of mobile devices and kiosks, which are difficult for the elderly to use, are increasing. Through our AI facial recognition, members of the Korea Senior Citizens Association will be able to easily access these services.”

He added, “Not only providing facial recognition technology but also offering specialized services tailored to seniors’ convenience and needs, such as non-face-to-face medical services through video recognition and easy payment services (CUBox Pay) via facial recognition, will play a significant role in overcoming digital exclusion and improving seniors’ quality of life.”

Meanwhile, regarding this agreement, in August, the Central Association of the Korea Senior Citizens Association signed a "Senior Informatization Project Contract" with the Korea Senior Citizens Association Informatization Project Corporation. The two lead organizations plan to promote projects such as standardization of smart senior centers, senior digital libraries, dedicated TV channels for senior centers, and senior commerce platforms, aiming to improve the quality of life for 3 million members and potential members nationwide and to facilitate the digital transformation of member information.
