Hanwha Robotics set up the largest booth among the 111 participating companies and showcased various robot technologies. Despite the event being held on weekdays, Hanwha Robotics reported that more than 1,000 visitors per day showed great interest in Hanwha’s robot technology.

At this exhibition, Hanwha Robotics unveiled the newly developed product ‘HCR-14’ for the first time in Korea. The HCR-14 increased its payload capacity (the maximum weight the robot can lift) to 14 kg and expanded its operating range. It succeeded in weight reduction, improving convenience.

The HCR-14 attracted significant attention from overseas manufacturing industry officials. A Hanwha Robotics representative said, “Several contracts were signed at EMO in Germany, where the product was first unveiled,” and added, “There were many consultation inquiries from domestic and international manufacturers at this exhibition as well.”

Hanwha Robotics also showcased food-tech collaborative robots that cut various vegetables such as French fries and serve draft beer in glasses. Collaborative robots that make coffee and deliver it directly to tables are currently being used in several unmanned cafes in Korea.

Hanwha Robotics plans to expand its lineup of service robots that can directly interact with customers, in addition to industrial collaborative robots. They plan to deploy various service robots at business sites of Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, a joint business partner, to enhance customer convenience.
