Electric vehicle fast charging network Water plans to deploy 100 fast charging infrastructures nationwide next year, focusing on major tourist destinations and vacation spots. On the 20th, Kim Hee-seong, CEO of Bright Energy Partners (BEP), stated, "Water plans to expand reliable fast charging stations across the country, focusing on areas where charging is essential during long-distance travel, such as urban centers, roadside locations, resorts, rest areas, and campgrounds."

Water is an electric vehicle fast charging network launched in November last year by Bright Energy Partners (BEP), a renewable energy specialist company with BlackRock, the world's largest asset management firm, as its largest shareholder. Although it has been less than a year since the brand launch, it has been expanding fast charging infrastructure nationwide, focusing on major tourist attractions and regional transportation hubs such as ▲National Baekdudaegan Arboretum (Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk) ▲Geoje Botanical Garden (Geoje-si, Gyeongnam) ▲Daecheon Beach (Boryeong-si, Chungnam) ▲Yangyang Surf Beach (Yangyang-gun, Gangwon) ▲Mongsanpo Beach (Taean-gun, Chungnam).

Water plans to open new charging stations in parking lots of major national parks in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province during the fourth quarter of this year and the first quarter of next year. The confirmed new fast charging station openings for Water include ▲Bukhansan National Park ▲Namhansanseong National Park ▲Gwacheon LetsRun Park Racecourse ▲Yeoninsan Provincial Park (Gapyeong, Gyeonggi), which are among the most visited national parks annually.

Yoo Dae-won, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Bright Energy Partners, who oversees Water's electric vehicle charging business, said, "Most national park parking lots are on the ground and are easier to access compared to urban building parking lots, so we expect steady demand for electric vehicle charging." He added, "We will continue to deploy fast charging facilities so that zero-emission electric vehicles can consistently visit the metropolitan area national parks, also known as the 'green lungs' of the city."
