Emphasizing the Need for Continuous Cooperation with Neighboring Councils

Chairman Yang Hae-young and 13 members of the Jinju City Council in Gyeongnam met with the Goseong County Council on the 19th to discuss the mutual development of local festivals.

On this day, the Jinju City Council delegation visited the Goseong County Council and promised to join forces so that the representative festivals of both regions could grow and develop together, and they toured the site of the 2023 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo.

This visit was carried out as an extension of the exchange event held on the 11th with the Sancheong County Council regarding the Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo, which Sancheong County is prioritizing.

Chairman Yang said, “Cooperation between local councils will be an important factor in creating a synergy effect for cultural tourism contents between neighboring regions in western Gyeongnam,” adding, “Let us do our best to help the representative festivals of both regions grow beyond domestic premium festivals into world-class festivals.”

Earlier in the first half of the year, the Jinju City Council signed an MOU with the Suncheon City Council for mutual development and promoted the 2023 Jinju Asia Weightlifting Championships during a visit to the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo.
