Premium personal care brand Kundal (KUNDAL) announced that on October 19, World Breast Cancer Day, it will carry out the “The Pink Glove” campaign, distributing ‘Breast Cancer Self-Examination Kits’ to consumers to help promote the normalization of breast cancer self-examinations.
Planned in collaboration with Cheil Worldwide and advised by the Korean Breast Cancer Society, this campaign aims to encourage regular self-examinations among Korean women, who have a low awareness rate of breast cancer self-checks, in order to prevent breast cancer. Inspired by Korea’s bathing culture, the campaign produced self-examination kits designed as bath towels.
The kit includes a pink towel engraved with breast cancer self-examination illustrations and an illustrated card explaining the examination guide. It also contains Kundal Honey & Macadamia Pure Body Wash 100ml, Kundal Honey & Macadamia Pure Body Lotion 100ml, and Kundal Eau Thermale Spa Scrub Body Wash 50ml.
A representative from Kundal stated, “As a brand with many female consumers, we consider the launch of ‘The Pink Glove’ campaign on World Breast Cancer Day to be meaningful. We hope this campaign will not be a one-time slogan but will help many women maintain a healthy life daily in their bathrooms with the simple Pink Glove kit.”
They added, “As part of the campaign, Pink Glove kits will be distributed at saunas nationwide, and bathhouses participating in the campaign will be given Pink Glove name tags.”
The Pink Glove campaign will open on October 19 through the official Kundal mall, where a limited number of ‘Pink Glove Kits’ for breast cancer self-examination will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Further details will be announced through the company’s mall.
Meanwhile, as part of its ESG program ‘Good, KUN!’ project, Kundal is making efforts to support socially vulnerable groups in need by donating daily necessities worth approximately 140 million KRW to the international development cooperation NGO G Foundation, aiding low-income children, families in crisis, and single-parent families.
