Ha Ji-ho (25), a cafe part-timer who became a hot topic for writing a supportive message saying "Thank you for protecting our country" on the lid of a drink ordered by an army soldier, will receive a "recommendation letter for employment" from Park Min-sik, Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

On the 18th, Minister Park announced on Facebook that he invited Ha to his office and had a conversation with him. Minister Park intended to give Ha a gift as a token of gratitude for his good deed, but Ha declined. Minister Park said, "(Ha) said that he believes such small actions can bring great joy to someone, so he cannot accept such a big gift and would rather donate it to national veterans," adding, "I was deeply moved once again by his beautiful heart."

It was reported that Ha recently graduated from school and was working part-time at a cafe while preparing for an internship at a game company. Minister Park said, "I personally wrote a recommendation letter to help Ha get accepted for the game company internship he is preparing for," and added, "I don't know if my recommendation will help him get the internship, but I will continue to support him enthusiastically."

Minister Park also added, "The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs decided to spread the meaning of Ha's 'good deed' by turning the handwritten thank-you notes Ha wrote to the soldiers into stickers and attaching them to food and drinks from food trucks visiting military units, donating again in Ha's name."

Earlier, Ha, while working part-time at a franchise cafe in Nowon-gu, Seoul, handed a drink with the supportive phrase "Thank you for protecting our country" written on it to a soldier who came as a customer. This story became a hot topic after being shared on the Facebook page "Delivered on behalf of the Army Training Center" on the 4th.
