Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters announced on the 17th that it conducted a joint fire drill with Suncheon Fire Station Yeonhyang 119 Safety Center.
The drill simulated a disaster situation caused by a fire in the headquarters building located at 119 Palma-ro, Suncheon City, and aimed to minimize human and material damage through fire suppression and evacuation guidance training for vulnerable groups by performing the duties of each self-defense fire brigade team.
In particular, the training on emergency rescue methods and fire extinguisher usage provided by Suncheon Fire Station Yeonhyang 119 Center served as an opportunity to strengthen the fire response capabilities of the employees.
A KORAIL official stated, "We will continue to conduct joint fire drills with fire stations every year and faithfully fulfill the role of a public institution to prioritize the safety of employees and customers in the event of a railway disaster."
