Tobis is showing strength. Expectations for growth in the automotive display business division seem to be influencing the stock price.
As of 2:38 PM on the 17th, Tobis is trading at 17,590 KRW, up 7.52% from the previous day.
Researcher Ham Tae-yoon from Research Alim explained about Tobis, "From the third quarter, the volume of automotive displays produced at the Seocheon factory will be recognized as sales," and added, "The expansion investment of the Seocheon factory will be completed by the end of this year."
He continued, "The volume produced in China will be applied to North American and European finished vehicles through LG Display," and "The automotive displays produced domestically will be finally applied to Hyundai and Kia vehicles through Hyundai Mobis and Japan's Denso."
He emphasized, "Recently, a panoramic curved display was applied to the facelift model of the Sorento," and "It is expected to expand application to other models."
Researcher Ham introduced, "The total solution for vehicle displays extends from the cluster (instrument panel) inside the vehicle to the passenger seat," and "Operation is also possible on the Central Information Display (CID) and the Companion Display Device (CDD)." He added, "The global automotive display market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10.8%, from 7.35 billion USD in 2020 to 16.67 billion USD by 2028."
Tobis was given a target price of 21,500 KRW.
