Wando-gun, Wando Tower 'Decorated with 16,000 Chrysanthemums'

2023 Wando Chrysanthemum Exhibition to be Held for 17 Days Starting from the 20th

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, will hold the '2023 Wando Chrysanthemum Exhibition' for 17 days from the 20th of this month to the 5th of next month at the Wando Tower area.

According to the county on the 17th, the exhibition will be promoted in connection with the '2023 Clean Wando Autumn Island Travel' starting on the 20th, and a total of 16,500 chrysanthemums will be displayed.

New chrysanthemum sculptures such as a chrysanthemum tunnel, dolphins, and a shell bench have been prepared to offer more diverse attractions than last year.

On the first floor of Wando Tower, about 52 chrysanthemum bonsai carefully grown by members of the Wando Love Chrysanthemum Club will be exhibited, along with Western paintings by the Wando Life Drawing Association, Eastern paintings at the Yeheon Gallery, and a poetry and painting exhibition prepared by the Wando Literary Association.

The Wando Chrysanthemum Exhibition is held at Wando Tower, where visitors can take in the blue sea and the scenery of Wando at a glance, differentiating it from chrysanthemum festivals in other regions, and attracting visitors every year.

Lee Bok-seon, director of the Wando Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We have worked hard to prepare the exhibition so that visitors can fully enjoy and heal in the autumn atmosphere where the clean sea and chrysanthemums harmonize," adding, "We hope many people visit and take home the beautiful autumn of Wando."
