Yoo Sang-beom, Ruling Party Lawmaker, SBS Radio Interview
"Sudden Attacks on Yoon Government... Somewhat Puzzling"
Yoo Sang-beom, a member of the People Power Party, commented on the press conference held by former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok, saying, "I thought it was a statement regarding Ahn Cheol-soo, but it was unexpectedly a statement attacking the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, so I found it somewhat puzzling."
On the 17th, Yoo appeared on SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' and said, "Regarding the Corporal Chae incident, there have been very different voices from the government and the party about allegations of investigation interference, but it was reported that he cried while saying it was wrong. However, I also saw an article stating that he was repeatedly smiling at the cafe on the first floor of the communication center just before that. I wonder if the public will accept that sincerity."

Regarding some speculation that former leader Lee Jun-seok is 'deciding to part ways' with the People Power Party, Yoo said, "When talking about former leader Lee Jun-seok, there were many questions about whether the People Power Party is trying to push him out or encouraging him to decide to part ways. What I consistently say is that the People Power Party will never block Lee Jun-seok from taking any form he wishes."
Yoo also mentioned the possibility of Lee receiving party nomination. He said, "His party membership suspension clearly ends in January next year, and if Lee Jun-seok's party membership suspension is lifted, the People Power Party will fully acknowledge whatever he wants. If he runs in Nowon District and goes through a primary to prove competitiveness, he can naturally run."
He continued, "If he has the competitiveness to defeat the opposing candidate, he should be elected there and become a member of the National Assembly. He has already received strategic nominations three times, and although it is a difficult district, if he failed after three strategic nominations, that is also a problem," he pointed out.
