Gmarket Opens 'Mega Brand Week'... Enjoy Benefits for a Week

Gmarket, a leading domestic online marketplace, announced on the 17th the launch of ‘Mega Brand Week,’ based on strong brand partnerships.

Mega Brand Week is an expansion of the previous monthly ‘Super Brand Day,’ which was held for just one day. The event period has been extended to a week, and customer benefits have been enhanced. It offers dramatic discount benefits such as limited-time coupons available only for 2 hours each day during time deals.


The first partner is CJ CheilJedang. Gmarket will offer a triple discount combo benefit until the 22nd. Any Gmarket customer can receive 10 coupons daily for a 15% discount and 10 overlapping coupons for a 20% discount. Additionally, a 7% instant discount is provided when paying with Samsung or Smile Card via the easy payment method Smile Pay. From July, customers who have no purchase history on Gmarket will receive a 25% discount coupon as a first purchase welcome coupon.


There are also limited overlapping coupons. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily, Mega Time special deals are held, during which a ‘30% overlapping coupon’ that can be used together with other discount coupons is offered in limited quantities for only 2 hours. Each day, one special deal product is revealed: on the 17th, Bibigo dumplings, and on the 18th, Haechandle sauces will be sold. In addition, gourmet snacks and late-night snacks, Spam, Baeksul oils and cooking ingredients, and the representative brand of food materials, Creait, will be offered as time-limited specials.


Live broadcasts will also be held. From 8 p.m. on the 17th, Gmarket’s live channel ‘G Live’ will feature popular products under the theme ‘K-Street Food Grand Battle.’ Customers who purchase products during the broadcast and provide proof will be eligible for generous giveaways, including one AirPods Pro 2 and 100 Shinsegae gift certificates worth 5,000 KRW each.


Lee Ma-eum, manager of Gmarket’s onsite marketing team, said, “Through this event that adds strong benefits to steady-selling brands loved by everyone, both Gmarket and our partners are achieving good results,” and added, “We hope for much interest as we offer representative products from various partners, including food, daily necessities, digital electronics, home appliances, and branded clothing, with stronger benefits than before.”
