Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party and standing advisor to the election countermeasures committee for the by-election of the mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, who is managing the expulsion of former leader Lee Jun-seok, was urged to exercise restraint by Heo Eun-ah, a pro-Lee Jun-seok faction member of the People Power Party, saying, "This is not the time for this."
On the 16th, Heo said on KBS's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strong Current Affairs', "In two words, it's 'over', and in three words, I think it might be 'sudden acceleration'."

Ahn stated that Lee's appearance in the media, portraying his 'swearing controversy' as true, was the act in question and announced plans to file a complaint with the party's Ethics Committee, also collecting signatures related to this matter.
Regarding this, Heo said, "The party is now in shambles. So I don't think this is the time to be doing this," adding, "And they say people become alike when they fight, but if you suddenly accelerate like this without warning, it doesn't look much different from the 86 activist group you usually really dislike."
Heo continued, "Don't show the image of Democratic Party politicians who rise up fiercely calling others pro-Japanese or hateful at every little thing," and "It's regrettable that Ahn seems to have resorted to conservative YouTube sentiments because nothing else worked out."
Regarding the leadership's position, Heo said, "I think reflection should come first, and although some party personnel appointments are starting to come out, it seems like Jang Seo-hee just put a dot and came out like in 'Temptation of Wife'," adding, "We can't believe they are different people, can we?"
He emphasized the need for 'balanced appointments' in party personnel. He said, "Is changing people now going to solve the problem? For example, it's not about scolding the party because former leader Lee and former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min did not work together," adding, "The people's message is to see a change in the party's stance, policy changes, and to uphold the separation of powers."
