Opening Ceremony, Diverse Programs Featuring Over 200 Participating Companies and Organizations
Busan City will jointly hold the ‘2023 KB Good Job, Busan Job (JOB) Festival’ with KB Kookmin Bank on the 18th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.
This job fair is a meaningful meeting place where recruiting companies can discover the talent they need, and job seekers can find the companies they desire and realize their dreams.
To alleviate the difficulty in hiring and support job seekers, the city is hosting the fair for the third time this year in collaboration with KB Kookmin Bank, following previous events in 2016 and 2019.
Several related organizations, including the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, Busan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, and Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office Veterans Support Center, also participated as co-hosts to actively assist local excellent companies in joining the fair.
The fair will feature various programs from over 200 participating companies and organizations, including the opening ceremony, ▲Recruitment Hall ▲Special Exhibition Hall ▲Promotion Hall ▲Employment Lectures & Recruitment Briefings ▲Employment Consulting Hall ▲Side Event Hall ▲On-site Events, among others.
Under the subtitle ‘Ready Project for Tomorrow (My Job),’ the event marks a return to normal life after COVID-19, encouraging preparation and hope for the future.
The opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on the day, with key officials such as Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, KB Kookmin Bank President Lee Jae-geun, and KB promotional model Kim Yuna attending to celebrate the opening and tour the fair venue.
A total of about 200 companies will participate in the Recruitment Hall, conducting on-site interviews and recruitment consultations for job seekers.
Local excellent companies will form the ‘Busan City Excellent Companies Hall,’ and companies certified by Busan City will be featured in the ‘Busan City Youth-Attractive Companies Hall.’
Distinct halls such as ▲KB Excellent Companies Hall ▲Large Corporation Partners Hall ▲KOSDAQ Listed Companies Hall ▲Small and Medium Venture Companies Hall ▲Specialized High School Recruitment Hall will be organized within the Recruitment Hall, allowing job seekers to meet a variety of companies.
Notably, a ‘Blind Recruitment Hall’ will be set up where company names are hidden and only keywords (such as welfare) are displayed, enabling unbiased evaluation of solid small and medium enterprises.
The Special Exhibition Hall consists of ▲‘Busan Metropolitan City Hall’ promoting the 2030 Busan World Expo ▲‘KB Kookmin Bank Hall’ promoting the bank itself ▲‘Hope Connection Promotion Hall’ promoting the regional company-youth hope connection support project.
The Promotion Hall will feature related organizations such as the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, promoting various job projects they are conducting.
Additionally, recruitment briefings by organizations like the National Pension Service, interview image lectures, and financial lectures for young workers will be held on-site to provide practical help to job seekers.
Furthermore, a comprehensive consulting ‘Employment Consulting Hall’ will be operated for job seekers, middle-aged and elderly, and vulnerable groups. Side events and participatory on-site events will also be held, including the ‘Bugi Tour’ around the fair venue with Busan City’s communication character ‘Bugi,’ a 45-seat ‘It Job Bus’ providing visiting employment support services, interview hair and makeup, a ‘Click Photo Booth,’ and employment tarot readings, creating a festival full of jobs, entertainment, and attractions.
Especially noteworthy is that special benefits will be provided to companies and job seekers participating in this fair. Key benefits include support of 1 million KRW per person, up to 10 million KRW per company, if a participating company maintains employment of a regular employee for more than six months after hiring, and an interview support fund of 10,000 KRW will be given to the first 300 interviewees on the day of the fair.
